September 16th! Any surgery buddies out there? :)

Hi everyone, I am so excited to have found this site. Finally... PEERS!!! As you can see from my title, September 16th is the big day. I am so prepared mentally for this. I am calm and excited at the same time! woooo hooooo What a way to enter the last 1/2 of your life! My "skinny jeans" from 1978 are still in my closet and waiting for me, lol. Hi, September 26th. I can't believe that you said you have your skinny jeans from 1978 -- I have mine from earlier than that and I hung them up right over my mirror so I can see them every day! Good luck!

Hi Laura and good luck with your surgery date. Mine is scheduled for September 10th and like you I have all the mixed emotions. I'm thrilled beyond belief and at the same time scared to death. I used to save some of my favorite "skinny" clothes but never thought I'd have the opportunity to have something like this done so I donated them to Goodwill. My son (who turns 17 this month) and I were out shopping for school clothes last weekend when I picked up a pair of size 30 x 30 jeans and told him that when I met his father that was the size of pants I was wearing. He told me that WHEN i get back to that size he will come back up to the store and buy me a pair of those jeans once again! You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I look forward to hearing about your success and sharing mine with everyone soon. YaY!!!! We are about the become "LOSERS" (never thought being a loser would sound so good)

Hi Laura,I to am excited. I have a date of September 11,2003 and I have waited for 8 months now and I know that the wait is all most over. I have my wedding dress that I can't wait to get back into . It has been 35 yrs., and 2 sons and so you can see I want to be healthier and be able to walk all over the place with out hurting and people lookig funny at you.
