I have a date! September 16th!

I'm so excited. I started this journey in April when a former co-worker of mine called to tell me she'd had this surgery and lost 180 pounds. I started to research it. I read Carnie Wilson's book and anything else I could get my hands on. I found Alvarado Hospitals website and signed up for a seminar. Alvarado referred me to this website. After talking with many, many people at this site, I decided WLS was for me. On June 4th, I had my first doctor's appt. On July 3rd all the data was forwarded to my insurance company, Blue Shield of California PPO, the 4th was a holiday and the 5th and 6th were weekend days ... on Monday July 7th Blue Shield approved my surgery! I'm scheduled to change my life with this surgery on September 16, 2003. Just over 2 months!
