Hi Emma. It's 2004 and I don't know if you remember me but you sent me many supportive and kind e-mails when I was waiting for my surgery and after I had it. I had it in 2000. I just wanted to say hi as I don't get on the site too much. I'm glad you're doing well. Take care. Wendy Jackson.
Topic: Hello Everyone
I will be going Wed. 3/10/04 for my last test the EGD, then I should get my date for the RNY. Tentively it is April 12 but that was for insurance approval. Does anyone know how far off the reality date might be? I would like to have some idea. Thanks, Cheri
Topic: My Baby's first birthday is the 24th
I'm 3 years out and still maintaining my ideal weight> I have fluctuated 5-6 lbs but I'll take it. I have several good friends that have gone though it since my surgery and one of them a very special friend is doing great she just had plastic surgery and is looking wonderful.....making me want to go get some nip and tucking done.
Well let me tell you this is the best thing I've ever done for me. My marriage is better, my energy level is better, my kids enjoy me more.....and I have a beautiful baby boy that is the love of my life.....tell me this hasn't changed my life for the better. That's it for now. Anyone that wants some positive reinforcement please feel free to email me. I'm definitely a success story. God bless all of you.

Without this site and the wonderful, supportive staff and members I would not be here today. When the Dr looks at you and tells you that you could have this surgery or die within the next year it is a wake-up call or it was for me and my husband. Thanks to all of you for your suppport.

I might have misunderstood....I thought you were looking for people who had surgery in September of 2000. I had my surgery at BTC in Belvidere, Illinois on September 22, 2000. Greatest thing I have ever done for myself! Got rid of my diabetes, poor circulation problems, aches and pains -- and I've lost 110 pounds.....I was just shy of my 57th birthday when I had the surgery and looking forward to celebrating my 60th in October. What a great life.
