How are you feeling? Hope you're enjoying rocking your sleeve!!! I can't wait to move onto the next post op stage, and even more looking forward to soft food in a few weeks (I can't have regular food until 5 weeks post op, I know everyone's plan is different based on surgeon though). But I'm dreaming about refried beans with some cheese melted on top...its on my ok list in 2 weeks... Counting down to chewing, but feeling great!
My surgery is August 24th! I'm on liquid diet now....Ugh!!! Excited and Nervous
Found out I'm approved today! So excited. This has been a long journey but worth every step and all the stressing.

Nothing yet. I have an appointment this morning. If they can't tell me anything I am going to call. Congrats! I have my fingers crossed. I told my husband this has been the worst part so far.
Have you heard from your insurance yet?
I called my insurance everyday to check the status of my authorization. If I wasn't calling, I was logged onto their website constantly reloading the page hoping for an update. When I called on Monday they told me they were waiting on paperwork, so I called my surgeon's office, and come to find out, they had already sent the paperwork, so I called BCBS back and they said it was processing. I happened to check this morning before we went to church, and found out that my authorization is there!
I advise bugging the insurance company, and your doctor to make sure they are on top of everything! You may feel like you're running into a brick wall , but I was the exact same way (a nervous wreck ) because I am scheduled for the 26th of August as well, and I was waiting on all of my lab work and my doctor submitting the paper work. Keep us updated & good luck!
Friday at my pre-op I was told I lost 5 lbs, but not sure how much I have lost since then with the liquid diet. I am enjoying sugar free jello, which is crazy because I haven't ate this stuff since I was a kid. But it is what it is. 4days to go and too late to turn back!! Are you ready guys???

Today is day 3 of my pre-op liquid diet, and I'm surprised that it has not been as bad as I was expecting. Losing 3lbs so far feels pretty good Lol. But one thing I totally noticed in my travels yesterday: How many restaurant signs are along the road, billboards for food, tv commercials!!! AHHH food everywhere! Lol. Never noticed how much junk food is thrown in our faces everywhere we turn
HANGRY!!!! lol. but I am anxious, scared, so many emotions right now. I agree, like anyone else I have encountered, I would love to keep in touch!! Support is much needed, especially when coming from someone who is understanding and knowledgeable about this journey!!
