Topic: Lap Band scheduled for 8/17 - Would like a Buddy!

Hi there,

I'm scheduled to have surgery next Friday, 8/17. I'm really looking forward to it, but am gettin a bit anxious thinking about what foods I'll be able to eat. I think Week 1 will be the hardest since it'll be a liquid diet. Oh boy! Can't wait to have chicken/veggie/beef broth.

Also, can anyone explain the difference between a protein shake & a protein drink? I have my pre-op with my Dr the day before, but would appreciate getting some info.

Also looking for a lap-band buddy. Are you out there?

Took me 8 months to get to this point. I start my pre-op tomorrow....Sunday the 12th. I have surgery at 7:30am and have to be up at 4am...lol. Don't forget the chap stick, toothbrush and paste. Are you as excited and scared as I am ?

Congratulations Missey!!! I'm so glad to have a surgery buddy :)

I am sooo excited! 8/27 cannot come soon enough. I will send you a personal message so that we can exchange email addresses if you'd like....

Was your process really long? Mine was 6+ months, but I'm grateful that my insurance will cover 100% of the costs!!

I hope your journey wasn't as long as mine....
