How are you doing? I had my rny on 8/29 as well. I was feeling pretty good & then found out (the hard way) that I am lactose intolerant. I thought the first time was a fluke; so I tried milk in something else ..... yea ... bad call  lol. All in all not to bad tho ... I may even go back to school on Thurs.

I had my RNY revision on the 22nd. Everything went great. Surprisingly, I didn't require as much Morphine as I thought I would. Excruciating back pain, dehydrated beyond belief, but all in all it went very well and the great nursing staff made it a great stay. I've been told to expect slow weight loss, but every little bit helps. Gotta remember to get the protein in. I am so sick of clear liquids, I could just about gag haha! I think my body is rejecting them, especially chicken broth.

 Yes please join us....I am still in the hospital today but should be released later today....I am soooo ready to go. I had a lot of pain following surgery and yesterday the gas pains brought me to tears, but I am feeling so much better today. I am still sore but I have no trouble getting up to use the restroom or getting up every few hours to walk the halls. I hear over and over again how walking makes such a huge and positive difference in recovery. I am also using my spirometer every hour or so....I am determined to go home today!!!!  Well it gets better by the day!  I only have discomfort now- the liquids are trying but you aren't hungry!  And have dropped off 5 pounds already!  You will live this once the pain goes away! Cheryl

 Mine is also the 28th!  Good Luck and see ya on the other side!!  Surgery time is 7:30, I have to be at hospital at 6!   So excited!
