I found out yesterday that my insurance approved the surgery and my surgery date is August 1st. I am so excited.

I too got the dreaded phone call rescheduling my August 1st surgery. But, mine isn't going to be until 8/22/12 . I was already counting down the days. But, I am thankful still- All in good time... Best of luck to you and may you have a smooth and uneventful surgery/recovery.

I have been preparing for this for 6 1/2 months. I am so ready. I got all my clearances. Now I am just waiting for them to call me with a date. They said my surgery should be within the next few weeks. I am so nervous and excited.

August 13th is my day for RNY. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. I too am looking for support through the OH community. Would love it if we could start a group with all the August surgery dates.

TOTALLY nervous! I think my house is going to be very clean trying to focus my anxieties. We can do this! I have to make this change and get my life back. How about you?
