My surgery

my surgery date is August 28th....woohooooooo!!!!!

god luck..i justhad mine 8/22 yesterday= went great and no problems not even the bad gas pains i had when i hadmy band almost 2 years ago.--got up and walked every time i had to go to the bathroom; and am walking at home- even puttered around and did a little laundry.. amazing!

Congrats on your upcoming surgery...I am one day ahead of you on 8/27! I'm not really nervous, but very much excited and looking forward toa healthier life!

Congrats to you as well....there are days that I am scared and nervous and days that I am exited.Its a new healthy beggining for us all.

Glad everything was ok with you Cheryl.I am just struggling with this 2 week liquid diet.Did you have to do one as well and if you did how did it go?

 I had to do liquid diet for Lapband so i knew what to expect!  Be sure to get your protein in..  I even fixed hubby some lunch and dinner  -it did not bother me!  I know I need time to heal and realize I don't want to mess this up!  bad enough this is my second surgery... Hang in there- be sure you drink plenty... and watch those  head  games - old hbits are hard to break.. but you can do this..  We all can! Good luck - touch base any time..

Congrats Cheryl...did you have a lot of pain immediately after? How are you adjusting to your new lifestyle???

 I was quite surprised at how little pain I had!  I am knocking on wood that it stays like this!  
I actually had more pain From the lapband and the gas that builtup under my shoulder, but this time did not! 

I have showered,  putter around the house and even did some laundry!  See why I am amazed!  Wish everyone could have it so easy- but I am not  out the woods yet- only 2nd day home! Good luck - just remember it is like your birthday- that's how my niece described it! like being the first day of the rest of your new and healthy llife... So much to look forward to!  My only complaint is I snuck on the scale and had gained 7 lbs!  i about died... But they do pump you with IV fluids- so I laughed and reminded myself to be patient!  Good luck- you will do great.  touch base anytime.- Cheryl

 Mine is also the 28th!  Good Luck and see ya on the other side!!  Surgery time is 7:30, I have to be at hospital at 6!   So excited!
