August 27th is my Surgery Date!!!
Yes please join us....I am still in the hospital today but should be released later today....I am soooo ready to go. I had a lot of pain following surgery and yesterday the gas pains brought me to tears, but I am feeling so much better today. I am still sore but I have no trouble getting up to use the restroom or getting up every few hours to walk the halls. I hear over and over again how walking makes such a huge and positive difference in recovery. I am also using my spirometer every hour or so....I am determined to go home today!!!! I miss my kids and husband. Best wishes everyone!!!! Wishing you all a speedy recovery.

but am doing good how is everyone doing? Hey, thanks for checking in....You're back to work already? Please don't overdo it. I am going back on the 12th, so I didn't take much time off either. I sit down behind three monitors for ten hours a day, so I think I will me fine. I will definitely take breaks to walk, and my desk does raise, allowing me to stand while working....
So, I take it that you are off of all of your pain meds? I stopped taking mine about 2 days ago so at least can drive now :) my surgeons plan requires me to start pureed food on the second week so that's what I am doing. I also ready to eat normally (but of course in smaller quantities) again. Keep us posted on your progress!!

Hello, I also had surgery on 8-27. I would like to ask how everyone is doing and will you add me to your surgery group. I would like to have a couple of people to be able to chat with and "compare notes" so to speak. Please let me know how to add you as friends on here also as I have not figured out much about this site yet.

I have not really run into any problems other than I am having pain in my legs but I am not sure if it is just the weather changing for if it has to do with my body adjusting to having less mass. Hope everyone is doing well.
