My surgery is the 7th and I am on day 6 of my pre-op diet. I really want a whataburger meal. I have been fine since getting the right protein shake but since last night I really really want a whataburger meal. Boo.

Congrats, you've made it. with NO Whattaburger I hpe. LOL

not no whataburger. I almost caved a few times but I stuck to it lol

How did your surgery go? I think the pre-op diet is one of the hardest parts of this process. I only had 3 days of a clear liquid diet and it was BRUTAL!  I had headaches and was grouchy and tired. I'm glad to be past all of that. My surgery was Aug 6. The surgeon found a hernia in my diaphram and fixed that also. Today i feel pretty good. As long as I stay ahead of my pain I feely pretty good. I'm mostly tired...probably from the pain and nausea meds. But since sleep is good, I don't mind.

I think at this point we are past the worst of it...at least the scary parts are over. Now comes the WORK!

My surgery went excellent. I am having trouble getting all my water in but I am working on it. Its getting better each day. My calves are sore but I dont think its from blood clots because I am walking and etc. I think its potassium or water intake issues. So I am drinking, drinking and more drinking. Hope you are feelimg better, too.

Laura, I had my surgery the 7th as well. I see you're in Tomball -- I'm in Sugarland. I had my surgery at Memorial City. Where did you have your's? I hope you're doing well. I'm doing great -- up and walking 60 minutes every day, and even hopped on my stationary bike for a 30 minute ride today. Working really hard at it, but getting my water in every day, and even eating quite a bit, even though it is only pureeds at this point. Going back to work on Monday!!

I had my surgery at Northwest Medical Center off 45 and 1960. Only place my insurance would pay for. I am doing great. I am walking pretty much all day. I am a teacher so last week and this upcoming week we have been at school getting prepared and etc. School starts not this Monday but the next. You are lucky to be on pureed food. I am dreaming of pureed food. lol. I am glad to see you are doing great. keep it up
