Just checking to see if I am in the same weight range as everyone else who has had Surgery in August.

My start weight was 304 and I am down 85lbs now !!! My surgery was August 17th.

What was your start weight? What are you at today? When was your surger?

My surgery date was August 19th.  I started at 344 and lost about 18 pounds during the 3 weeks before surgery.  I'm down nearly 80 lbs now.   I had hoped to be down 100 for Christmas, but (unfortunately?) I've tolerated the surgery really well and can eat at least a little of almost anything.  I've just started a proper work out routine, so I hope this gets me past the 100 mark for my birthday in mid February.

However, over all I'm really pleased.

My surgery was August 14th, I weiged 251 the day of my surgery and have lost 57 lbs so far. I weighed 273 a year ago in February. I started working out about 2 months ago. I am under 200 now, so I am happy about that! And I too can eat pretty much anything in little portions, not soooo good.   : (

Hey!  Congrats on your weightloss!!!  Well, I had my surgery just one day before you on 8/16/10.  I weighed 286 pre-op and today I weigh 196.  So 90 lbs down, and to make my goal weight I have about 20 more to go.  I was very fortunate that I didn't have any difficulties.  I started playing in a soccer league in early september and I'm now playing in a basketball league.  I think both activities really have helped me lose the weight fast.

Do you keep a food journal? I use fitday, I like it because it keeps track of protein, carbs, calories etc...its kind of a pain at first because you have to enter a lot of food but it keeps all the food you entered so once its there its there...I would suggest to use a program like that if you don't already, if your carbs are high (above 50) I would say drop your carbs, up your protein to at least 80 grams per day...add a protein shake to do this if you don't drink them already...hope that helps!

My surgery was 8/11/10. My original start weight was 317 and am now down to 216 as of this morning. I had been down to 212, but this past weekend was emotional and I ate through it. Hope to be doing better about that now that I am feeling better. It sure did remind me that the surgery is just one of the tools and I still need to be in charge.

I had my surgery  Aug 16th, I have lost about 105 pounds depending on the day...I still have a lot of restriction and have a really hard time eating...so my goal now is trying to eat "more", who would have ever thought a year ago that would be a challenge! lol..great job on your weight loss, keep it up!

I had my surgery 8/11/10.  HIghest weight ever was 328... 1st visit to surgeon was 307 and day of surgery was 280.  I am now almost a year out and am stuck right at 200...can't seem to break out of the 200's and into the 100's.  Things have come to a standstill...very frustrated.  I walk 3.5 miles/ day or more.  And have just started to add running to my program and lift weights on off running days.  I feel like I am getting enough exercise and I really enjoy it.  Never thought that would happen.  But not sure what to do about my food... I eat around 1000 calories a day.   Don't know where to go from here...
