Looking for some support through this HORRIBLE liquid diet!  Anyone on the 19th and when did/are you starting the pre op diet?

Ok I'm back from my surgery and every thing went well I did what most of the people said to do on this board and walked the halls all night after the first hour almost all pain and gas was gone and as the night progressed it got better and better and all pain is now gone, every thing is like it never happened. I have tenderness of the throat but that is because of the tube they stick down your throat with the balloon to inflate the pouch for the band I was in the hospital with 4 other people and they would not walk and when morning came they was in worse pain than when they started, so when its your turn walk walk walk it really does help and don't forget to sip your watter I did that and crystal light man I could not be happier.

I am in the same boat. I am scared, because it is a life change, its a huge surgery, and its getting closer and closer. But I am excited because I'm ready to be the real me. Welcome to OH, there are a lot of other boards to post on here too. I like this one and some others but the main board is where  the most posts happen. That's where I satisfy my need for info, hearing people's personal experiences really helps put it all in perspective. Good luck on your surgery, I'm on the 14th.

Hey There!

Anyone started their liquid diet today?  Was it challenging?  It only got challenging for me as people started to warm their food and the aroma filled the office.

So far, I have done ok.  I have about 4 others that are joining me on this liquid journey.  This has been very supportive.  I really love and appreciate them for this.

Teresa B had her RNY surgery today. I talked to her husband and she was doing just fine. The surgery went very well. She was still groggy from the anesthesia. I hope to talk to her tomorrow.
