Topic: Tomorrow is the day!
COULD THIS ACTUALLY BE THE THING THAT FINALLY WORKS FOR ME?!!? IS THAT POSSIBLE...WILL I BE THE ONLY EXCEPTION WHERE IT DIDN'T WORK...
These are the thoughts that are running through my head as i prepare for surgery tomorrow. I have thought about this for soo long that it seems surreal that it is actually here. I'm very excited and very nervous. I'm so afraid that i forgot something or I'm going to mess up my post-op diet and create a leak.
But as my dear husband keeps telling me...honey, this IS going to work and you are going to finally feel about yourself how i feel about you!
So...I'M READY, LETS DO THIS! :)

Thanks for all your encouragement. It truly is a blessing to have a network of others who have struggled through the same battle as you b/c lets face it there are a lot of people out there who just think we should eat better and work out and we don't need surgery. I also have a lot of people who support and agree with me and this decision.

Okay, all of you August people. I am leaving for the hospital in about 45 mintues. Which me luck and the same to you.

well it looks like we are having surgery the same day. I go in to admitting at 7:00 a.m. and my surgery is at 10:00 a.m.So it looks like we will be on our journey together! Good luck Amanda! feel free to contact me with questions, support, enocouragement,etc. I'm here for you!

I just read your Message. I have the same preop diet as you have. In Holland and Belgium (I think) this is the most common diet for bariatric surgery.
Hope you are doing well after surgery. August 12 it's my turn.

I'd like to sleep too but have to pack my bag, tomorrow we'll go to Belgium
Now I want to think about Saturday, probably we're back home than....... starting our new lives

I'm trying to control my nerves. But I can't get it out of my mind.
Today I'm gonna pack my bags. I get my surgery in Belgium (we're living in the Netherlands), about 4 hours drive so we will spend the night overthere and wednesdaymorning I have to be in hospital 7.30 a.m.
Than my new life starts...

I'm wondering why did you choose the lapband?
Are you on a preop diet right now??

Yes we can!... And I'm sure we can and I'm sure this will be good for us. My surgeon told me that after a GBP people live about 10-15 years longer.

I posted a LONG recap of my surgery on my blog. To long to repost, lol, so if you are interested check it out. I am doing a lot better. I burp a lot but don't have any real problems with gas pain and I can sleep on my side and I am inching onto my stomach slowly. The surgery is starting to seem like a dream except I am having problems getting all my fluids in. It starts to feel like all I do anymore is drink water
