Breathe, you are just having a case of the nerves. Talk about or write about those emotions you are feeling, let them flow. Better dealt with now than later.
You're going to do great! I am on the 20th!! I can't wait to hear you are home!!

Topic: RE: Okay only 8 more days to go...
I have not been scheduling and have been very hit or miss. My liquids are slimfast, broth, water and 8 oz juice. That is that. I have been doing a protein shake but it isn't even on my list.
It doesn't help that I live in a HOUSEFUL of people. I mean 9 people eating and on different schedules. That is what is killing me. I think if I were alone it would be better, plus I have 3 kids to make sure eat.
As for being hard well for me personally I am struggling. However as I mentioned above there are many factors at play, and I am a full time student at home for another 2 weeks for summer so I am at home a lot of the day. I wish I were out and busy, I don't notice it that much when we are out and about.

Hey, I am doing well and thanks for asking. Healing pretty easily and not experiencing hungar except the emotional kind. I know there is a lot to learn about living with the band and I am excited to have it mastered.
But first, I must finish my 3 weeks of liquids and 3 weeks of soft foods...I can't wait.

Topic: 3 days home and what I've learned
Hey, August WLS people -
I am have been home for 3 days from my lap band surgery and am doing well. I am on a 3 week liquid diet which seems daunting but unless I see food advertised or catch a whiff of something, I have no cravings. It is an emotional craving and not hunger.
So far, my big learning is that hydration is key to feeling good. Yesterday, I only drank about 10oz. of water and I woke up headachy and weak. I really concentrated on sipping all day and by tonight I feel pretty good.
Also - I haven't needed pain medication during the day although I have taken something at bedtime.
Good luck to all of you.

Topic: RE: August 26th! (How did you tell your job?)
Hi. I just told my boss that I needed to have some surgery and took 5 days off, using sick leave. I don't really care who knows although I did confide in a few good "work" friends. I am happy to say they were all excited for me and congratulated me on taking control.
