Nope I have not been told anything about showering. I had one person on another bord say to shower before leaving the hospital because it is easyer then showering at the hotel. ( I am canadian and having sugery in the states

Aug 18th is the day... trying to stay in my head. I am like one of the previous. Was good right up until about Wednesday. Insomnia like a mug.... Had to get unisom... Now on liquid clear fluids today and tomorrow. Not so bad, I find that drinking my liquids warm makes me feel satisfied longer. Wishing all of you all the best on our new life journey. When the count down begins.

Congrats and good luck! I have only beeen on liquids for 4 days now and realiza that I have about 5 more weeks to go including surgery.....

Topic: Have you heard about not shaving before surgery?
I read on the main board some time ago that you shouldn't be freshly shaven when you go for surgery because the open pores or something can give you infection. Have you heard that too?

Hi there! Mine is the same day as you. I'm not planning on changing into PJ's don't want to ruin my own so I'll just wear their gowns. I'm just taking small travel size stuff. I don't know if they will let us shower or not, do you? I have sooo much hair to wash!

Perfect ! Let's definitely keep in touch and keep each other posted.. Same as you I cheated a little on the liquid diet, I feel bad...but i still work out and hope that will even it out for me..I think I'm just ready to go down that path and be able to provide people with some helpful advice and ideas like I get from this site... I am having my RNY the same day as you. I am just as nervous and the diet before hand has been by far the hardest yet. I have cheated here and there but mostly I have been good. I am doubting and wondering and I have had days where I am down mentally. I know this is the best decision of my life. I am tired of the roller coaster ride up and down one day. Good luck and I am going to friend request you to keep in touch.
