Topic: RE: August 26th! (How did you tell your job?)
I told them I was having gallstones removed. Which isn't necessarily false. My surgeon said it's a possibility that he might find some and if so he would remove them.

- I want to travel on a plane again and not have to see the look of fear or disgust in other passengers as they wonder if I am going to be sitting next to them.
- I want to shop for clothes in any store I choose
- I want to make social outing decisions for other reasons besides stairs, size of seats, avaliable parking, etc.
- I want to be able to purchase a car because it was the one I wanted, not the only one that I fit into.
- I want to feel great about me as a person which will improve my relationships and hopefully create new ones!

Getting in your protein is very important along with your carbs. If you don't get enough of both, you can have a lack of energy and feel light headed and dizzy. My nutritionist said that weeks 3-5 can be difficult because most people are not getting enough protein and carbs. See your Doctor about the pain in your chest. Take care of yourself.

HI Debbie,
I'm not sure where Carburg, NC is, I live in the middle of the state near the capital, Raleigh.
Got home today at about 1:30, kept me an extra day due to blood sugars being whacky but they are slowly coming down. The hospital and surgery was ok, the bed was horrible and I am so glad to be home with my own bed, took a nap this afternoon but so far so good.
No pain to speak of and really feeling pretty good.
Hope you are doing as well?
Let me know how you are ok?
Thinking of you

Topic: RE: How long before you got your sugery date?

My surgeon was the first person I met with. I met with him on June 3rd and since I had all of the paperwork from the insurance company stating what they required for approval and I met his requirements we scheduled my surgery date right then.

I don't know how other surgeon's handle this process, but I"ve read lots of different stories. I would just ask them directly when you'll be able to schedule your date since you are almost through with all of your testing. If you have approval, they shouldn't give you a hard time.
Good luck!

Call your doc. Could be some kind of stricture??? At least I know I've read it before on quite a few posts. I would call him anyway, just to be safe.

Good luck.

Mine was totally on me and my surgeon's availability. I saw him on 7/20 and I scheduled the surgery for 8/10.

Good luck and God bless.
