Congrats guys and welcome to the loser's bench.

Walk, sip and burp...all slowly. Each day gets better and better.

Have you tried, SF popsicles, SF fudgsicles, Light Yogurt (I love Activia), broths or pureed soups with broth to thin them out, protein shakes with skim milk, sf pudding, sf jello...these are just some of the liquids I incorporated early on.

Good luck.

Sip, burp, and walk. That's the mantra for a while now.

Congratulations on your surgery and I pray that your recovery is quick and pain free.

Welcome to the loser's bench!

I'm home now.  Experiencing a lot of pain, but I had a hiatal hernia repaired,  I WILL get back on later, but for now, I think I will take another nap.

Well I had my surgery yesterday and I am home today and it is my 25th bday.

I did great other then I guess I had a hernia from when I had a csection 6 years ago so they fixed that while they were in there . . I am having a little pain but I think it is due to learning how to drink again

Topic: RE: August surgery checkin..Everyone post in this string about your surgery.

Well, I just saw this post, so I'm a little late, but I had my (Lap-Band) surgery on Aug 5th. I had a very quick recovery and the medical team were great! I have to admit, that without my husband, I wouldn't have had as good of a reovery as I did. He made sure I drank every 15 minutes and used my incentive spirometer a few times an hour and helped me walk a lot in the hospital.
I was in the hospital for a total of 12 hours. That's mostly due to the fact that anesthesia takes FOREVER to wear off on me. Afer I went home I stayed very active to work out the gas and help with the healing process. But I also rested a lot in between.

I hope that everyone has as successful surgery as I did.

Good luck everyone!!!

Angela
