Aug 11th is the day that will change my life!

I'm a ball full of emotions about my surgery!  I'm scared of the pain, i'm nervous about the IV, I'm excited about possible results, i'm terrified of complications, but mostly i'm just READY! 

I just can't believe it is only 5 days away!  I honestly can't even contemplate this even working because i have tried soo many other things and failed but i'm hoping against hope that it will!

My God is in control and thus i will not fear.  He is my strength and my provision!  I have to rest in that for now!  :)

God bless all of you in your journey whether you are still waiting for approval, you are about to begin, or you are on your way...may you succeed well!

I'm August 11th too and I totally hear you. I've had 3 surgeries in the past year and I can tell you that the IV's are a piece of cake, I won't lie, just a little pain when they first put the line in, but it's totally okay after that.

I am 8/11 RNY! My doc put in an arterial iv that is what i am most afraid of. I have visualized the gas pains, the weakness and all of the other stuff. I just can't get past the iv in my neck. But they don't put it in until i am under so i won't have to know what they are doing but it will stay in for a day or 2. I am also amazed at how this is going to work when so many other things did not work. I am thinking i will be the only one that WLS did not work for. But i am determined to use my tools and do it right. Congrats and good luck.

I am right there with you! I also am having my surgery on the 11th and I am having so many things run in my head. I understand how you feel and I too have relied on my faith to relieve me of my fears. Before you know it your surgery will be over and you will be embarking on the new journey of changing your life. I wish you the best and remember God is in control, keep praying.

Thanks for all your encouragement.  It truly is a blessing to have a network of others who have struggled through the same battle as you b/c lets face it there are a lot of people out there who just think we should eat better and work out and we don't need surgery.  I also have a lot of people who support and agree with me and this decision. 

I would love to keep in touch with all of you as we enter and accomplish our goals together!
