I am new to this entire website.  I signed up a few months ago but never really had a chance to check it out.

However, at this point my surgery is right around the corner and I wanted to check out how others have done with their journery. 

I am almost there.  The liquid diet isn't too bad.  I am just really really nervous.  I am sure to check back to this sight for ongoing information.

Hey Jennifer, Ms. Ronnie here and I am also having surgery (VSG) on 8/10/09.

This site is amazing as respects all kinds of information and a ton of comfort from some really great folks.

Hi, Jennifer.  I am fairly new as well but my good friend, Lisa, who had lap band surgery 8 months ago, swears by this site as a place to meet others and get the information you need to learn to live our new life.

My lap-band surgery is on the 10th. I'll be thinking of you - an all of us.

I'm fairly new to the site as well and only posted a few messages so far.  I'm having my VSG surgery on Monday as well!  Going through the nesting stage at the moment - cleaning house, throwing out the trash, cleaning out the fridge, etc.  I want to come home to a brand new start. :-)

Dealing with nerves a little as this will be my first major internal surgery I've ever had.  I totally trust my surgeon and I'm not afraid really, just nervous and can't wait for it to be over and dealing with whatever pain I have and working on my new lfe.

Definitely go read Ms Ronnie's lovely prayer for all the people having surgery this month.  It was beautiful and reminded me that I am not alone in this.
