August surgery checkin..Everyone post in this string about your surgery.
My surgery was on August 4th, got home on the 6th. It went very well. I was in recovery a bit longer than expected, but I was unconscious, so I can't really complain!
So far the worse part has been the gas. It makes getting my fluids difficult. Also, the protein drinkls don't taste so good. Oh well, I'll tough it out!

Had surgery on the 4th. Everything went well! My sleeve was really really swollen afterwards so it took forever for me to drink. And at our hospital we had to drink 5 oz of protein in one day before we could even go home. I was ready to go home on the 5th but they kept me until the 6th because of the drinking.
Get those ice chips in! They do help with the swelling!
So far my only complaints are the gas, rumbling from tummy and instestines, oh and I can't seem to sleep for more than an hour at a time.

I posted a LONG recap of my surgery on my blog. To long to repost, lol, so if you are interested check it out. I am doing a lot better. I burp a lot but don't have any real problems with gas pain and I can sleep on my side and I am inching onto my stomach slowly. The surgery is starting to seem like a dream except I am having problems getting all my fluids in. It starts to feel like all I do anymore is drink water
