August surgery checkin..Everyone post in this string about your surgery.

i leave this friday for mexico!!  im currently doing the preop liquid diet!  yummmy jello and popsicles are my best friend right now!   ill update as soon as I get home!

I had my GB LAP RNY in 2002.. I LOVE to see your faces. It reminds me of how excited and nervous I was. I was  only 21 at the time... I was so scared.. surgery went ok.. You can go to my page to read more.. but I wanted to tell all of you how proud I am of you.. this is a big choice.. and not many ppl approve.. I know my family didnt.. but I didnt it anyway.. and you know.. my proof of life is soo much better.... Hope to see you all as friends... if you have ANY questions.. you can ask this wls old timer

I had a lap band aug 3rd.  recovered quite quickly. the diet is killing me though.  going on my 4th week of liquids. no restriction so just have to be patient. but running out of that. trying to be positive!! I know this is the right thing but i cannot believe how hard this is.
A lot of gas, but not painful, just noisy!!  hehehe. 
postop appt on thurs. hoping to go to mushies at least, but that is all pureed food and for 4-6 wkks i think!!  somehow i will make it thru!!!

I had my surgery yesterday and I got home today. I'm feeling not too bad, a little sore, but pretty good overall.  Trying to get all my water in, which is a little tough, but otherwise, i'm doing okay.

Awesome....i hope to join you on the losers bench next week.

Ken, its almost our turn!  how u doing on the preop..  i only had to do it a week and so far ive lost about 10-11 pounds..  thats very exciting!!  good luck

Pre-  op ia good so far....lost about 23 pounds so far....I hope your surgery went well today...I'll be looking for you !!!

Hey everyone...Ms. Ronnie here and I'm home and sleeved!!!

Surgeon said things went extremely well w/no complications. I think the worse part was the anesthesia and the dry heaves afterwards.

Overall, I'm just glad it's done. Trying to sip as much water and protein as possible and walking slowly around my house.
