Hey All :)  It took about a year but i'm scheduled for RNY (w/ Vertical Pouch) on August 10th.  I know i'm doing the right thing.  I'm Excited, Nervous and Motivated.  Did i mention Excited and Nervous lol.  Anyone else on the 10th?  Anyone else in NJ?

I'm on the 10th and I have a couple of friends on my page that are on or around the 10th.  I think we're all mostly having the VSG but same surgery day.

Hi Brendan!  I'm from NJ and I am scheduled 1 week later...on Aug 17.  And the nervous/excited thing....I can totally relate!

Hey guys...another August 10th rebirth here.

Nervous , scared , thrilled , exhilarated , doubtful , nauseous , dizzy , wanna smoke ---don't smoke, wanna drink --don't drink...did I mention nervous. LMBO!

I just know that this is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life outside of marrying my husband.

Congratulations guys and be prepared...these next few days are probably gonna fly by and we'll be whisked off into surgery and back on these boards talking about how ridiculous we all were for being afraid in the first place.

I pray much for all of our success and I'll see you on the other side...

Hi Brendan,  I am down here in Texas and on the 10th also.  I am getting the VSG and feel the same way you do.  Best of luck to you and let's keep eachother posted.

My surgery date is August 11, 2009 in Atlantic City.
My daughters date is also August 11, 2009 down in Florida.

Hello - My lap band surgery is on August 10th out here on the Left Coast in Seattle (I lived in NJ for 11 years - does that count?)  Our world view will change with this surgery; it is life up to now and then life ever after.  As the day approaches, it is like there is a little crack with light shining through that keeps widening...
