Getting so close. I have survived the wait, now it's just around the corner . I have never been small, or in good health, so thinking about myself a year from now seems like a dream. I feel so much better today since talking to my O.H. friends.

We are having our surgeries on the same day!

It's me, Carla. That's great, you surgery is the same day as mine. I am told that I am second in line for surgery that day, so I will probably go in around 9:00 or maybe a little later. Are you having your surgery at St. Francis with Dr. Weaver? Thank you for the note. Now we will have somebody to talk to through our recovery process. I am so excited that I can barely keep my feet on the ground. How about you.

I am having mine at Northwest Regional in Springdale, Arkansas with Dr Josh Roller. Yes we will have to keep each other on track. I am having gastric sleeve. What are you having?

wow that will be great to talk back and forth post op. and now too. We can support each other as our date get's closer.

I am also having my surgery on the 25th of August.  I am going to Michigan with Dr Schram,  have you gone for your PATS test yet?  I am wondering what I am in for.

Not to sound stupid but what is a PATS test.
I'm not familiar with that term. Write me back and let me know.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

PATS test are the pre-op tests:  blood work, ekg, chest exray, urine test ect to ensure you are ready for surgery. 

The day is approaching fast.  Best of luck as I cannot wait for our journey to begin.

Thanks for the explanation. Yes, I have already had all my test done. Dr. Weaver wants them all done 2 weeks before surgery date. Nothing to worry about, the worst thing is the blood work, and they took about 10 tubes on me. Afterwords I felt kind of faint for a while and I never do that. Must have been the amount of blood they took. Everything else is a piece of cake.
