August 18 anyone?

This is my surgery date!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else the same day.  I am so excited I can hardly stand it!

sounds great to me! when do you start your pre-surgury diet? i start mine next friday.

Can you tell me what your pre surgery diet is.  I am confused with my surgeon.  I was not told any pre surgery diet othe then to stick to 1200cal diet of prepared foods before surgery. I am going to call them.  I am having a really hard time sticking to my 1200 cal so I did think about starting a pre surgery liquid diet so that I can actually lose some weight before surgery.  I am afraid to get on the scale at this point.

my pre-surgury diet is basicly a prescribed "slimfast" diet. there are bars and shakes and you consume about 700 calories a day for 2 weeks before surgury.

My doc told me that I didnt have to do a pre surgery diet since my bmi wasnt above 50. Different drs have different preferences

Me too!  So close and yet so far...  I'm getting nervous.  How about you? 

I am soo nervous that is for sure.  Do you have a pre surgery diet you need to do too?  I called my surgeon and they said they don't do the liquid diet and that I can eat regular food 1200 calories a day unitl lunch the day prior to surgery.
I am not sure I am going to do that. I think that I need to get myself prepared to drink meals.
