DS Surgery--August 3, 2009

Thought that I would let everyone know about my upcoming DS surgery.  I am both nervous and excited about this... starting my pre-op (simply a low fat diet) on Monday....

How is everyone handling their pre-op preparations?

I would love to hear from others about their experiences.

Congrats Sharon   You are lucky you get to do a lowfat diet.  I have to start full liquids tomorrow and I am already feeling tortured!  Hopefully this time for all of us will fly by!

How is your full liquid diet going?  I am sure that that sucks quite a bit.

I am doing the lowfat diet.  The day before surgery, I have to go to all clear liquids.  In the early evening I have to drink an entire bottle of magnesium citrate... Oh, that is gonna be one heck of an experience!!

Ya, the liquid diet sucks.  LOL!  The hardest time of the day is cooking dinner for hubby and kids.  The smell just kills me and watching them eat is tough.   Everyday is getting easier though and I am losing weight. 

Hope your diet is going well.  What does drinking the magnesium citrate do?  Clear ya out???
