Hey everyone.My name is Elisha.I am 21 and I live in CT. I finally got my date and im so excited.My process went very smoothly and quikly.My surgeon. Dr.Ehrlich is awesome he is so sweet and polite.I am ready to lose this weight.I ahve type 2 diabetes and I dont want totake insulin injections anymore.I was just hoping to get to know some of you who are having surgery in August like me so we can help support eachother.Well best of luck to everyone.Take care. I am hoping to join you and have an August 4th date. We're still waiting for the approval. I am attending my last class this Thurs. and will start my liquid diet soon. I am going out of town on vacation, so I have to start my liquid diet then --- that stinks, but I want the surgery and the vacation! I am a teacher and I am hoping to have the surgery before going back to work so I don't have to use sick days. My surgeon says I have a good shot at getting approved by then and getting the 4th as my surgery date, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed until I hear back.

Hi Elisha,

I'm also having surgery on August 4th.. don't know what time yet. Which procedure are you having done? I'm doing RNY, as I need a little bit more restriction than what the lap band offers me. Dr. Avara did my gallbladder surgery almost 8 years ago, so I'm comfortable with him performing the surgery this time. I'll be out of work for 6 weeks (thankfully getting paid!!).

That is awesome.I am having the Lap Band done.My surgeon Dr.Timothy Ehrlich is wonderful he is so sweet and very informative.I had my gall bladder taken out about 6 years ago.That's good that you get so much time off from work.Best of luck to you as well.Take care and feel free to write me anytime if you just want to talk.I check this everyday.TTYL

Hey guys...another August date here! Mine is 8/10/09 and yes, I'm nervous too. Sending good thoughts and prayers everyone's way that we'll all have uneventful surgeries and speedy recoveries.
