Got a Date--Took a Year!!!!

It took a year, but I have a date: August 4th. I'm excited but scared!

Congrats!!!!  We're going to share a surgiversary.  It will be worth the wait.

May we all come to a deeper revelation of health and wholeness as we continue on this journey. I keep telling myself that it's not about being thin...that's just one of the by-products that we happen upon as we move toward optimal health and wellness. The bottom line is I feel that this surgery will help save me from myself because I just can't do it alone. Thanks again for the encouragement and make it a great day!

Yes!! Especially after waiting a year. But I'm getting nervous, too, thinking about how it will go, how I will feel afterwards, etc. Take care--and good luck with your surgery!

I'm having RNY on August 4th, too!!! I wasn't nervous until today when the doctor gave me my preop diet and surgery date. It's REAL now!! I've been looking into this for 3 years, making sure it's what's best for me. I'm ready!! Scared of all the changes that will be taking place, but excited at the same time. Thank you all for posting your true feelings. I'd like to keep in touch and ask you to be my friends through this ordeal, if that's ok with all of you. I'm in Texas, and would love friends from everywhere to share this experience...
