Topic: I have a date!!
It's taken 2 years and lots of stress but I finally have a date!! My surgery is scheduled for August 26th. I'm so excited!! I fought with my insurance for a bit but decided that they weren't gonna tell me I couldn't have this so I'm using my life savings to save my life! At least it's a tax write-off, haha! I'm so glad i found this site and all the wonderful friends i will make here!

You are so lucky you do not have to do the liquid diet...I hear that is somtimes the hardest part of the whole WLS experience...I really hope it is. Hate to admit it, but I have been enjoying my last few days...I am pretty sure KFC will not be part of my future...LOL

I was SO worried they wouldn't keep the promised date, because it WAS sort of up in the air... well, now it is for sure. Pre-op on Thursday, 7/31!

My surgery is scheduled for the same day as yours. I started my diet yesterday - it was tough! My pre-op is Aug 8. I'll look forward to comparing notes with you.

I am scheduled for Lap Band Surgery on August 15th. I started the process on April 1. It has been a fantastic journey. How about anyone else?

How long did it take to find out if you were approved from the time it was submitted to insurance?
I am in the waiting process right now so I am just curious
