Hi Dee Dee, It also took me 2 years to decide to have lapband surgery,then I finally got up enough nerves to do it. I had my surgery on July 25th and I am down 30lbs and I feel great. I had my first fill today and I'll be on liquids for 2 days and you know what it doesn't even botherme. Once you get your surgery and start dropping those pounds you are going to feel so good about yourrself. You are going to have a whole new outlook on life. I wish you the best and keep in touch.

My surgery was 23 July (RNY). Every day since then I drink a "protein bullet" from GNC. It has 45g protein and is not a huge volumn of liquid. I have been taking biotin for a month and believe my nails have improved somewhat,hopefully this helps holds thehair in. I had gall bladdar several year ago and was very ill, and had NO hair loss from that. I'm not sure protein is the full story on keeping the hair in place. Best of luck to you!

Topic: The ROSE Procedure
Has anyone had the ROSE Procedure and what kind of results have you had. I am from NJ and considering having it done at Monmouth Medical Center. I would love to chat with anyone that can give me some information.
PLEASE EMAIL ME I WANT TO KNOW THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY BUT IF IT ISN'T THIS THEN I MUST PURSUE A TRADITIONAL REVISION.

HI I am 8 years post op and recently had an EGD(Endoscopy) and found out my pouch is severly dilated. It can be from a host of problems and the most immediate concern is a hernia. they thought in the beginning that I had a hernia but I didn't. The statistics say nearly 40% of Gastric Bypass patients have dilated pouches and stomas. I am sorry to tell you this.

I am about to have a revision from a gastric stapling in 1984 to an open revision to rny. I also have a ventral hernia. Even though I had my original procedure almost 25 yrs. ago, from everything I understand, this will be a daunting task. Is there anyone out there with a similar situation who can share their experience with me?
