Topic: RE: I need Help
I got a credit card called carecredit.com. See if the facilities you choose take the card. There is flexible payment plans available. I'm able to pay for my whole surgery with this.

Hi, I had my surgery 3 years ago. Yes, you will have feelings of hunger now and then. Be aware that some of these feelings (at least in my case) were emotional and not true hunger. It took me a while to tell the difference. Try Unjury Protein powder. It is available online and over the phone too. It dissolves well and tastes good too. As far as hunger, I really went through hungry times and times where I felt like if I ate anything I would throw up. I really went through some nasty tasting stuff as far as protein drinks!! My doctor actually had samples of Unjury too.
Try eggs, cheese, cream of wheat, pudding, dry milk powder (added to pudding and soups for extra protein) and pureed chicken, tuna, cottage cheese with sugar free jello powder for flavor. Some people like ricotta cheese and make it a desert with splenda and vanilla. I never really cared for that though. Just do your best on the protein, you will begin to be able to get more in as the days go by. Just be very sure that you are getting enough fluids in--even if you have to take a sip or two and then rest for a while. Good luck to you, and God bless you.
Topic: RE: Thought I was getting enough protein
Hi, I had gastric bypass three years ago. I also lost some hair, but not too much. Eventually, my hair filled out again, but I have heard of people losing more. Be sure you are getting as much protein as possible. Let your doctor know about this. My doctor had all his patient's see a nutritionist. This is a valuable asset to help you.
Unjury was the best tasting protein powder in my opinion. It can be found online. It dissolves very well and tastes good too. Also, mixing powdered milk in your soups etc. I made my chicken like baby food. Tuna is good too if you like it. I also mixed sugar free jello in my cottage cheese to help the taste. If your doctor allows eggs with cheese, these work well too. If you begin to be constipated from all the protein, ask your doctor about a stool softener. Chew your food very well, and eating a meal should take at least 15-20 minutes. I used a timer to help me with this. Of course, every doctor is different. This is what mine recommended. I also could not drin****il 30 minutes after I ate my meal. This was the toughest part for me.
It does get better. People told me that and it was just hard for me to believe at the time. Emotionally, I went through alot to adapt to the changes. For some reason, I felt like I was never going to be able to eat normally again, and that is just not the case! Good luck to you, and God bless you. I was blessed enough to lose over 100 pounds. The trick is keeping it off now! Hang in there. You can do it!
