lisa...it wouldn't be normal if you were not a bit anxious about the surgery. it's natural.
now....just close your eyes and picture yourself the way you want to look m (i'm sure your beautiful now too), and think about that it will not be long before you achieve that goal! or YOUR goal.
try and relax and enjoy all the pleasant thoughts of the future since you'll most likely be adding another 25 years to your life!
begin preparing for when you get home. look at the main board and check out recipes and think about what you'll be eating and what to have in the house. take this time to get your exercise plan together!
and most of all best of luck to you....you'll do wonderful!

i'm so sorry you are having some problems. i was the exact same way at about 8 weeks out. i could eat nothing. it was so bad that frankly...(no pun intended) didn't want to eat at all.
slowly i found a few things i could eat. and, now, really i can eat just about anything i want. i jus****ch it.
i never took protein shakes, bars or instant meals. the fact that you have the runs all the time is not really great.
can you list some of things you are able to tolerate???
maybe it's time to change nuts...or get some diet input????

are you having bypass or lap band ? i had bypass on 6/10/08 i was back at home on the 12th and back to work in one week in fact i only missed 6 days ive already lost 50 lbs and im off all meds no more diabeties,high blood pressure, hypertension,sleep apnia in fact i dont even snor anymore in all those respects i feel 20 years younger and everyone i see says wow you look great!!! now for the bad part . i cant eat very much of anything without throwing up i have the runs all the time i keep buying shorts every week because i change a size evry week and in general i have no get up and go you would think after loosing all that wieght i would have engery( but im like a sports car thats out of gas just an expensive radio) good luck

hi im 2 months out today my bypass was 6/10 ive lost 50 lbs and im off all meds and my dr says im better than i was 20 years ago , everyone who sees me says wow you look great! but!!!! i can only eat a very few things without throwing up and i meen very few so i take protien shakes so ill loose fat but not muscle and thats great except i have the runs all the time so i ask "am i better off ?? im not sure anymore my point is be carefull what you wish for , you just might get it frank
