Topic: Banded on 8/11/08
I was banded on Monday, August 11, 2008. I have to say that the process was smooth, and I was home by 7pm that night.
I also had a hernia repaired at the same time.
As for pain, it is very minimal ( pain is so dynamic and each person will describe pain differently). Being physically active before the surgery is a great boost for recovery. I look forward to the next 12 months and beyond.
My friend Danielle had GB last year and is down 140lbs. She told me to stop by this great site, so here I am.

Although it's totally possible that your band slipped, it's highly unlikely. You had major surgery and soreness following a sneeze is totally realistic.

Hi welcome... my surgery is the 19th and I attended pre=op today. I have cENTRUM CHEWABLES for my multi and vitamin B complex with b12 (walgreens sells natures bounty liquid) I also have B1 liquid and Biotin for hair growth Maybe to help if you start losing some) Also Calcium chewables with vitamin D.

I found out yesterday that my surgery is on 8/26 and I am excited. What is the best supplements to take. I need help for preperations. HELP!!!

I go for pre-op tomorrow at 11 am , surgery is Tuesday God willing ... I didnt have to do a special diet ether .

Topic: Help! I sneezed!
I was just banded on 8/8/08 and today I sneezed! Two of my inscions have been very sore, but I figure that is where the port is. Today I sneezed and it hurt really bad! It feels better now but I'm freaked out! Could my band have slipped or port moved because of that?!

I went to see Dr. MacDonald on Tuesday and I am scheduled for by-pass on Aug 21, 2008. I am very excited and nervous.
I need suggestions on what I need to carry to the hospital while I am there. I would also like to know what to expect from the surgery and the recovery.
