Topic: First time post 2 years after surgery
Well hello, I had my surgery 2 years ago on 6.5.08 I weighed 428 lbs My goal was to get down to 235# boy I sure blew that that one I am now at 205 # and feeling great. I have a totally new life to what I had when I was FAT so if any of you people are having a hard time deciding to have the fat surgery well I am not going to tell you to have it but it was the best thing I could have done. I asked myself how many 50 year old 400 pond men do I see and the answer was not to many. but if any of you have a question please ask and I will give the straight poop.

Topic: RE: I've made it
I'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. I start my day with a cup of yogurt, protein juice and protein powder. I mix it like a smoothie and drink on it all morning. For some reason my taste for protein drinks with a milk base changed and now they make me sick.
Topic: NOT Approved...HELP!!!!
Ok folks. So I have competed EVERYTHING that I needed to do for surgery. On Aug 8, my doctor tried to submit to BCBS AL for a predetermination and....they denied it!!! Even though they have it on record that they TOLD ME that the surgery is covered (back in January) AND on my job's BCBS website online coverage book it says that it is covered if 'medically necessary'. NOW they want to come and say to me that 'my employer does not cover it'. I have spent so much time and money on this. One department is not returning phone calls and another supervisor has said that if I fax in my receipts that they will reimburse me for my doctor's expenses. BUT I put a salaried job on hold for 4 months, so technically they OWE ME a couple of thousand dollars. In addition, all they have to say is 'oh, if you had the surgery already we would pay since its our mistake, but since you haven't, we won't. Sorry for the inconvenience.' I am traumatized and do not know what to do. Has anyone had to go through this or had to do some appeals????? HELP ME PLEASE!! I am at my wit's end!!!

hi mark i had my bypass on 6/10 i only missed 1 week of work and could have gone back after 4 days if i had too, more importantly ive lost 63 lbs and im off all meds and feel better than i have in 20 yrs, just keep in mind the first day is rough, the next day is 50% better the 3rd day is 75% better and then you go home and sleep for a day ,wake up and wonder what you were worried about because you feel fine. be carefull what you eat for a few weeks and that will be easy because you wont be hungry at all good luck god bless and all will be fine frank
