I had avacado yesterday and it did not agree with me.  I think it is the only thing so far I have dumped on.

What was your surgery date? 8-8-08

How are you feeling? Amazing

What is your favorite food on your menu? ANything with Crab in it

How much have you lost? 35 lbs since my final pre-op appointment and that is the official weight my Doc uses

What else? The last 3 weeks my blood sugar  has been normal. My blood pressure is like text book perfect. I have an almost unlimited amount of energy (Think a sugar fix without crashing). I can wear a smaller size clothes already. I can walk a mile without getting winded or having leg pains/burning feeling.  I'm finding that it is possible to get in all of my protein through my meals and snack every day. Oh and the best thing is I don't regret this decision to have WLS at all.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I'm so sorry you've had to go through this.  I haven't had this experience but it sounds miserable.  Good luck this time!

Topic: Esophogeal Stricture after Gastric Bypass
I am six weeks post gastric bypass and have had 3 esophogeal dialations to open up an esophogeal stricture. I have been to the point where I am unable to take any liquids down at all and have thrown up foam constantly. Had my last dialation a week ago and have been feeling good , thank god. Just wanted to know if anyone else has gone through this?

I had surgery on August 26th.

I am feeling great, and have been ever since I came home.

I am enjoying Cottage Cheese everyday.  I am transitioning today from mushy/pureed foods to soft foods, and I get to try refried beans another fav of mine.

I lost 25 lbs on my pre-op liquids and have lost an additional 15 lbs since surgery.

I was suppose to have open RNY, but was lucky and got to have a Lap RNY

Hmm What else, I am back to work and just doing really well.  I haven't had any problems eating, and haven't really felt full but only eat when I am suppose to, I think I am doing pretty good.

I am on about 15 different meds, and my surgeon wasn't much help. I wanted to know which ones if any I should not be taking, the surgeon says crush them up even if they are timed released somehow I don't think this is right. Is there a list of drugs somewhere that I shouldn't be taking....I had a lap rny thanks for any help

I'm taking b12 sublingual dots!  You can put them under your tongue.  I take one every other day.  I was taking them daily before surgery, so trying to keep it up.  Just make sure to keep your fluids going and if you are really struggling, then call your dr.

well yesterday i was feeling a bit better.  managed a trip to walmart to pick up a few things.  but then this morning i ate breakfast and promptly got very sick and threw up.  really not feeling good now!  even water is water me feel kinda sick to my stomach.  so i know i am not getting all my fluids today.  am really trying though.  i dont know what made me sick...i ate something i have eaten before and had no problem with.  i am really going through the "what have i done?"  feelings right now.  i dont even feel like eating.  have to force myself to eat.  will get a b12 shot when i go in for my 6 week check on october 2 so hopefully that will help.
