Wow Stacy, you look great! What an incredible change! I am just over 5 weeks and have lost about the same as you have. Everyone tells me they can really see it in my face. I need to take some new pictures to put up on my profile.
Is your puppy a goldendoodle? He looks just like my two when they were little!

Woohoo- it just keeps getting better and better. I added some before and afters to my profile today. Wow, I can't believe how much thinner my face looks-it's crazy!
Hope you are all doing as equally great or even better.

August 11, 2008 Had VSG.
Feeling a bit disappointed because I am still hungry sometimes and craving food alot and wish I was one of those people that just don't care about eating after WLS !!. I'm worried I'm going to blow it.
I've lost 27lbs and am on a stall due to bad eating.

i'm the same but i think its because i've had too many 'treats'......
also i think in the first couple of weeks post-op our calorie intake is really really low and we lose alot of water too.

Topic: anyone denied/delayed by the psych evaluation?
hi
honest to pete,
after my 3 hour interview in the morning, and 30 minute visit with the psychiatrist in the afternoon, he told me i had to get my emotional eating under control before he could pass me on to the next level. i am to meet with one of his psychotherapists friday, i guess once a week, for 3 months. and then the doc will review my case.
aweee. the wind is out of my sails. i feel bummed. discouraged.
how often does this happen?

have you measured? you might be losing inches even though you're not losing pounds. i'm getting disappointed with my weight loss too. i lost 12 pounds the first week and then it took 3 weeks to lose 15 more. i just now started exercising though so i'm hoping that's my problem. i'm seeing changes in the way my clothes are fitting. don't concentrate on the numbers and try to focus on your food and exercise. if you're in a stall it shouldn't last long.
Topic: Anyone BCBS NJ? Denied for to even see nutritionist!!!!
My insurance company will not even allow me to go through the initial program before lap band surgery because I am not diabetic. They claim also that they don't cover bariatric surgery, but have actually already approved my co-worker. WE HAVE THE SAME POLICY!!!!! My Dr. has gone back and coded me as diabetic because I am insulin resistant, which he says is the same thing. Well, God has the final say so, and I know he will see me through, but if anyone has any advise, I would love to hear it! Thanks everyone!

Topic: RE: 2 1/2 weeks post op pain... anyone else?
I had pain, and when I refused to eat meat, they had me examined, adn it was a stricture.
but the doctor said it could have been an ulcer, so they had to examine things.
I now have only fullness.
I thought my pain was "dumping" but I read that dumping coincides with diarrhea. So I was confused.
I was also told there are not that many nerves, and the surgery does not hurt, therefore, as to nerves.
I would see the doctor.
