 Surgery date was 11th August

Feeling ok. Have had some emotional spells, which is unusual for me.  Also hugged the toilet bowl a few times this week as I have been experimenting with soft foods rather than liquids.

Mashed potato and gravy.  Started nibbling on crisps this week which go down well for some reason. Got to focus on not picking up bad habits

Have lost 18 pounds in the first 4-5 weeks

Surgery type was Vertical Sleeve gastrectomy

What else? Wrote down my calorie intake today and it was 1100! Going to write everything I eat down for the time being and watch out that I dont start picking up bad habits.  Some foods seem to go down fine and others no way at all.  Cheese for example does not seem to give me too much trouble and is high fat!  Really struggling with any slighty lumpy food.  Only able to have liquids, soft mashed potatoe, crisps and yoghurt.

I had surgery on August 26th.

I am feeling great, and have been ever since I came home.

I am enjoying Cottage Cheese everyday.  I am transitioning today from mushy/pureed foods to soft foods, and I get to try refried beans another fav of mine.

I lost 25 lbs on my pre-op liquids and have lost an additional 15 lbs since surgery.

I was suppose to have open RNY, but was lucky and got to have a Lap RNY

Hmm What else, I am back to work and just doing really well.  I haven't had any problems eating, and haven't really felt full but only eat when I am suppose to, I think I am doing pretty good.

I can wear a smaller size clothes already. I can walk a mile without getting winded or having leg pains/burning feeling.  I'm finding that it is possible to get in all of my protein through my meals and snack every day. Oh and the best thing is I don't regret this decision to have WLS at all.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

August 11, 2008  Had VSG.

Feeling a bit disappointed because I am still hungry sometimes and craving food alot and wish I was one of those people that just don't care about eating after WLS !!. I'm worried I'm going to blow it.

I've lost 27lbs and am on a stall due to bad eating.
