Know any docs that do open lapband surgery?

I have had 4 surgeries on my stomach over the years.  So I need to find a doctor to do an open procedure.  Doctors don't want to do it lapbrscopically due to scar tissue.

I would start calling the Dr's in your area and see what they offer. My Dr does his lap however if there is a need at the time of surgery he will switch to open. You also may want to ask this question on the forum for your state.

Thanks Lis.  That's good advice.  I have an in network doctor that does the lap.  It would of been covered by my insurance.  However he refuses to even see me because I have had other open surgeries.  I thought how weird.  I know he does the gastric bypass too.  And sometimes that's an open procedure.  I thought how strange.

So on with the battle to find someone who does.  I know they do in Mexico.  But, I would have to pay for that myself.  I would like to utilize my insurance if I can.
