Surgery date is August 19th

So I am pretty nervous at this point. I am trying to get through the preop diet and having a lot of trouble with the protein shakes. However, this board has pointed me to Unjury and I am hoping and praying this will be the answer to my prayers!! I am having it at Brigham in Boston. Has anyone on here had there procedure there and/or with Dr. Vernon? She seems very nice and up front about everything. I am now getting to the point of extremely nervous. I know this is the right step but wow this is going to be big!

Congrats! Mine is the same day! Im very nervous too.. maining because I dont want to leave my baby because I have to go out of town for it and will be gone for 6 days. I am thankful that I wont be alone though. My dad is the same day and same surgeon. I just start a pre-op liquid diet yesterday and im starting to shake and have no energy. Goodluck with everything and let me know how it goes. Maybe we can compare notes afterwards.

Good luck!! That is interesting you and your dad are going at the same time. Very good for support system. We will have to keep track and see how we all do afterwards.

Count me in for another one on the 19th. I am wrapping up my 4th day of my liquid diet...only 10 more to go

One more for the 19th...I didNOT have to do a special diet, go figure...Pre op stuff on the 14 maybe they save it for then ?

my cousin didn't have to do the preop diet either. I guess it depends on the doctor and the program.

Here is hoping you do not have to do it...it is brutal...but I figure every pound I loose now is one less later

Me, too for the 19th. I only have one day of the preop stuff. broth,water,diet jello, and 3 ounces of phsophosoda. Do you know where I will be from 2 PM on? Best wishes to all of you.

I just got the chicken soup from Unjury. This is going to be my savior thank god!

how does it taste? I understand that tastes change post op. I may order some samples . Right now I have Nectar and chicken broth for the week after we shall see from there . Martha
