Looking for Aug 25 folks

I would like to pray for those that are having surgery the same day as me-and then would like to keep up with these same folks. Anyone who wants to share please let me know. On one hand, I can't wait for this to happen, but on the other i am getting nervous having to wait. Together we can do this. Linda

Hello! My name is Suzanne and I am having surgery on the 26th of August, is that close enough? I am a little nervous too! I have started my liquid diet and it's 3 weeks of clear liquids. I am looking for friends on here too and I am so thankful for this web site. I am having the gastric sleeve done by Dr. Alvarez and I have heard so many great things about him. I am really excited more so than being nervous (I CANT WAIT!!!) Suzanne3333

Great Kelly and Suzanne thanks for your support. I am so excited I can't stand it, and yes every once in a while I get nervous. But the more I think about it the more I can't wait for what life has in store for me as I finally lose enough weight to feel comfortable again. Roller coasters, bicycles, nice clothes are on my can't wait to do list. The future will bring : no more harsh looks and unkind remarks (about weight at least), and having to let these things bounce off me (like superman). Well that isn't really different I kind of have an "if they dont like it that is there problem" attitude now anyway but it will be nice to not have to wear that armor all the time. I know the future may sound a little idealic, cruel and unkind people will continue to be cruel and unkind, but I will know I did what I could for my health and any other thoughts/comments others have will be "their problem". Knowing i am doing something great for me and my health keeps me smiling now for sure and I expect will have me grinning in a year. My prayers and blessings go out to both of you. I cant wait to chat with you as we journey along and discover the good (and bad) of post op and beyond. Peace, happiness, and God's guidance as the surgeon preforms his miracles to both of you. Hi Linda, Kelly and Suzanne...just wanted to let you all know I'll be thinking of you on our surgery dates...my date is the 25th as well... Knowing I'm not the only one on the 25th might be helpful...wishing I can find a few closer to me too!!

Great!!! I will be adding you to my prayer list. At least we are both from GA too bad it is 4 hours away. Martinez is near Augusta and Ft. Gordon. Everything is going to be great for all of us. August 25 will be a the start of a new era. Linda

Hi Linda, It's my first time on I am having my surgery Aug 25 also. Just did all my final run thru with the doc today and pre registered with the hospital. I guess it's really happening! Good luck with your surgery.
