surgery date

My surgery date is August 18 @7:30am, I am so excited that I have been doing the happy dance ever since I found out last week.

Congratulations!! My surgery is 8/18 also at 9:30 AM!!

It is not official until Monday and I sign the papers but my surgery date will be 8/18 as well. Yeehaww!!! Linda

Waaahhhh!!! Surgery date not 8/18 as thought. Hoping now for 8/15, 8/22 or 8/25. I think I will cry if it is not in August. Oh well, hope to know by tomorrow. Linda

Just found out yesterday that my surgery has to be delay until I complete an 8-week Life Skills class. I have cried.........can't even begin to explain how it feels to have your date taken away.

I really feel for you. I was feeling sad because mine was extended one week but 8 weeks. I would have cried too. I don't think anyone who hasn't been in our shoes (anyone going through WLS process knows!!!) can understand how wonderful and relief filled it feels to finally get that date nor could they understand how awful and despairing having that change is, even for a few days. Well, I can commiserate with you or I can encourage you. I want to encourage you. You have waited this long and 8 weeks will be over in a flash. I like to think things happen for a reason, so I will pray that you feel blessed that surgery is right around the corner, and you can jump this one last hurdle with dignity and grace.
