Hello everyone! Heaviest known weight: 254 Pre-op day of surgery: 221 Today's weight: 146 Total weight loss: 108 lbs I am showing a gain on the scale this week, but I'm not surprised. I lost a BUNCH of weight being sick the weekend before this last one. I knew once I got back on track with my eating that I'd show a gain. I feel much better physically and the two pound gain was expected so I'm doing good. It's no fun to lose weight through illness! I hope everyone has a GREAT week!! Brenda

Thank you, my friend! I hope you had a wonderful, restful, peaceful day. This Memorial Day has been hard for me, with my hubby being deployed and my daughter and her issues. By the Grace of God, HE got me through yet another holiday without my husband. Only a few left to go now. I try not to be selfish and blue, but it is difficult. He is so lonely over there. It breaks my heart to hear him broken. BUT, we will get through this one sunset at a time. Have a great week Brenda and Fran and everyone else too!

HI everyone! Happy Memorial Day! This is my time of the month, so true to pattern, I gained two pounds. Today I weigh 137, two days ago was 135 lol. So I guess I need to go potty lol! My personal goal is 132 and my Dr. goal is 140, so I am happy where I am. After I remove my skin, I should be right where I should be. Anyway, have a great week everyone! Much love to all!

Thanks Brenda, I hope you had a good memorial day. I think the fact that you remember your loved ones with fondness and no regrets makes it easier to bear the pain of separation. It's nice to remember the good times. Fran

Thanks Brenda and Kathleen. I will be happy when my knees are done. I am really looking forward to being able to walk well again. I am much better already since WLS. I was on crutches before WLS and have been walking without them for a few months now...just a cane at times. I still don't walk much though and get my exercise in the pool or on the bike. I know I have great support here and I do have good support at home too so I really don't have too much to worry about. (I'll worry a little anyway). Talk to you later. Fran

Topic: Memorial Day
I wish all of you the best and most relaxing Memorial Day! Remembering lost loved ones is always bittersweet but is so important. I think of how proud our parents (those of us who've lost parents) would be if they were here to see us now! I know my dad would be sooooo proud and happy! He and I would be doing LOTS of fishing this summer if he were alive. I still miss him every single day even after having lost him over 12 years ago. It never goes away--the feeling of loss--we just learn to live with it. I also want to say a great big THANK YOU to our servicemen/women who are putting their lives on the line for our freedoms as well as freedoms for those not in our country! YOU ARE HEROES! And to your families.......May God bless you and keep you in the palm of His wonderful hand for all the support you give your family members in the service. They couldn't do it without you behind them! Have a WONDERFUL Memorial Day, everyone! God bless! Brenda

Hi Fran! Thanks so much for your kind words and support. I hope that you are not in too much pain waiting for the knee replacements. They tell me eventually I will have to do that with my right knee. Isn't it terrible how much damage the weight did to us? Just be happy now it is gone, and how much healthier we will be because of it. Do not be scared, my beautiful friend. Look how much you have already overcome. You re brave, strong, and tough and this is just another notch on the belt you will handle mighty fine! We are all here to support you. Please keep us posted, and please try to post more too. You are an inspiration, and I look forward to hearing from and of you. Much love, Kathleen

God bless you, Fran! I know you'll do great at keeping your health at an optimal level in preparation for your surgery. I will keep you in my prayers for sure! You're a strong woman and I have every confidence that your knee replacements will go as expected with no complications. Just think how much better you'll feel once you have new knees! It's exciting isn't it? Keep us posted how your journey towards your knee surgeries goes ok? I'm thinking of you and praying for you! Brenda

Topic: new surgery booked
I went to see the orthopedic surgeon today. Now that I have lost weight I am being booked for bilateral knee replacements. I'm a little scared. I have a 5 to 6 month wait so I'm going to concentrate on being as healthy as I can for the surgery. Fran
