Hi Kathleen! I don't have experience with TRICARE INS so I can't help you that way, but I can and will pray for you that it does indeed cover the skin removal for you. I hope someone can answer that question for you. God bless!! Brenda

Hey...just have a question for you TRICARE INSURANCE folks out there. I have been told TRICARE is starting to deny most claims for skin removal surgeries after gastric bypass. Is anyone aware of this or experiencing problems? I have terrible rashes and irritation and odor because of my skin, and am praying this is not true. Just wanted to see if anyone out there knew anything. THANKS!!

Topic: RE: WOW Moment
Woweeeeeeee!! Your own son didn't recognize you! LOL! It's sooooo amazing to see the reactions of those we've known for years and those we haven't seen for awhile isn't it? Donna, your wow moment has inspired me to keep on keepin' on with this new lifestyle! It's soooooo worth it! I'm so proud of AND for you that you have come so far and are still on the move...WAYYYYY TOOOOO GOOOOO!! Each one of the wow moments everyone shares on here brings me to tears ....but for once, doesn't it feel GREAT to be brought to tears in a happy way because of our weight? Oh my gosh I never thought I'd ever see the day when I'd cry happy tears over my weight! That in itself is a wow moment! *Holding up my wine glass (filled with sf apple juice) and toasting all of our successes* What an awesome way to start my day! Thank you, Donna! Hugsssssssss Brenda

Awesome! That is such a wow moment for anyone -- Congratulations. You should be very proud of yourself and enjoy every last one of those rave reviews - and those still to come! It took a lot of hard work and commitment to get to this point and you deserve to enjoy every single wow moment. Thanks for sharing - it was a great way to start my day.

Topic: WOW Moment
My son came home from college and didn't recognize me when I went to meet him! The last time he saw me was Thanksgiving '07. I couldn't help but feel proud of myself for what I have accomplished with the help of this surgery. We spent the holiday weekend with a half-dozen friends who haven't seen me since this same time last year.....I got rave reviews! This is sooooo much fun!

I'm here Brenda! I do check the boards less frequently now but it is important to me and the August '07 board is always the first one I check. It is great to see your posts and I will try to actually reply more often....promise. Donna Kay

I HEAR U BRENDA! I will always be around. This board helps me to stay accountable to myself. This is a commitment I have made for LIFE, and I need to stick to it. This board helps me do that. So, I will be around, GOD willing, for the long haul. Thanks to u for always being here. I hope the others will take advantage of this too.

Topic: C'mon fellow August losers...
It's sorta scary to see so few of our August losers coming here to post now. There are a few of us that have remained faithful at posting and I hope the rest come back. I know it's easy to get complacent and relaxed at our ongoing recovery (we ARE addicts who still face challenges, right?) and new lifestyle once we get a few months out and can eat more foods, feel more sure of our lifestyle and aren't so full of questions. But..... What about staying accountable? What about when we feel old fears and habits haunting us? What about when we slow down having "wow" moments to share? We still need each other.....PLEASE COME BACK you August losers who haven't posted in awhile....let us know how you are. And those of us who continue to post regularly......let us NOT EVER forget how important our daily contact with each other can be. I know this is the first place I come in the morning...I want to see if anyone has posted anything new...or added to a thread. I NEED YOU GUYS. Our success depends on support more than we know. I miss hearing from everyone....... Anyone agree? God bless you all, I love you bunches! Brenda

Pre-surg wt: 290.6 Today's Wt: 189 Total loss: 101.6 Wt still to lose: 44 Loss for the week: 1.4 Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. It was over way too quick in my opinion but at least the next holiday (& my favorite) is just around the corner. I can hardly wait for the 4th of July picnics and good weather. I'm really tired of the rain here - we hit an all time high for the month of May and the rest of the week is scheduled for more rain....Not complaining too loud just complaining. I know it could be a lot worse but I sure do miss the sun.
