How are you?
We had surgery the same day. I had Lap Band though. How is everything going? By the way, why did you opt for RNY. I am so curious about this surgery because I hadn't heard of it until now.
Best,

Topic: RE: anyone?
So far, there has been no talk of a pre-surgery liquid diet, but I see both my nutritionist and my surgeon next week, so that may be a last minute surprise for me!
Topic: RE: 3 weeks out, feeling better, but struggels as well
I feel exactly the same as you informed. I try to do the same thing and seems like I fail in some way everyday. I actually got yelled at at my check up!!! If you learn any tricks let me know, we can do it together!

Hello
I had RNY on August 15th, eating the exact same foods as you, not getting hardly any protein drinks in as they just gag me. I have lost 18 lbs since surgery(38 all together) - the nutritionist said if I don't get protein in I will loose my hair and have muscle wasting, so I am going to try HARDER, she also said it helps to loose more weight if you make sure to get it all in. Its gotta work eventually Kathleen, think of how much less calories we are getting. And you are walking, thats terrific!!! I am sure some of the more experienced post ops have this all figured out, they will help us too.
Good Luck!
Tara
