Topic: RE: NAUSEATED - PLEASE HELP
I sympathize with you Jenny. I had RNY August 6th and have been nauseated ever since, and sometimes the smell of different food cooking makes it even worse. Also, I can't stand Propel or diet Lipton tea anymore, whereas before surgery, I loved them. I even barf pretty often but it is getting better.
I also HATE pill time so much that I rarely take them. I saw my surgeon today and she was not happy to say the least, so I am really going to try to do better. I think I will try to spread them throughout the day as they make me want to barf as well! I especially hate the 'petite' calcium tablets as they feel like they are stuck in my pouch & may start crushing them as well as the other crushable pills & adding them to the 'shake' I have been making in order to get my protein as I don't like my 'plain' protein drink anymore either. Here is my 'recipe'...... 1/2 banana, 2 scoops chocolate protein powder (48 g protein!), 3 teaspoons small curd cottage cheese (yes, it sounds nasty, but you can't taste it & it gives the shake a creamy texture!), 8 oz. FF skim milk, 4 oz. water, and some crushed ice. Mix it all in the blender & viola!, it tastes just like a chocolate shake!!!!!! I just sip it slowly and enjoy.
Good luck-I'm sure it will get better!

Topic: RE: Signs of dehidration
Signs of dehydration
1. dark urine with a strong smell
2. Tongue has white coating
3. decrease in saliva production
4. dizziness/lightheadedness
*Try ice chips and teaspoons full of H2O.
*Stay away from caffienated beverages, caffiene is a diuretic it will make you urinate more
* suck on popsicles
*Juice will only make you thirstier, water is best!!!
When in doubt call your doctor
Good Luck

Actually this is very common sometime between the 3rd and 5th week i have seen. It is just your body putting the breaks on since it notices that you aren't eating. The key is to get your protien in and walk.
The other issue sometimes is the monthly visitor storing up some of the excess liquids too.
Hand in there, you will come busting through with a big loss, you'll see

Girl I know where you are coming from, God did my surgery he gave me a great surgery painfree and uneventful. I had the chaplan pray for me the morning I had surgery, we prayed right there amongst other people, I didnt care, Im not to proud to ask GOD to take care of me. I owe everything to him. Im not trying to be a holy roller or anything, just stating how I feel
and the facts. The surgeons were awesome also but we know who had the scapple.
Im glad to see you're at home and losing. God Bless you!
