WOW Selina you have lost 20 pounds already! You are doing fabulous! I am a week ahead of you and I'm only down 11 pounds since my weight the day of surgery! Keep it up girlfriend!!!

Yes... it happened to me too. I'm a little more than 3 weeks out and I went for days and days and the scale didn't budge. I DID however notice in my clothes that I was losing. So that scale doesn't always tell the truth. Our weight shifts and it often just doesn't show up in how much we weigh but you ARE losing and it WILL come off, no doubt about it. Hang in there! All of a sudden you'll see those numbers move!

I had surgery on 8/1/07 and I'm now at a standstill too. I have lost 35-40 pounds (my scales differ so much), and I feel like I haven't lost anything in a week and a half. I'm upping my water, trying to do more exercise, and weighing my food........hopefully this will pass............Hang in there...........

Hello. I've gone through the same thing...as a matter of fact, I stopped weighing daily b/c I don't want to become discouraged. I was banded 8/15 & have lost 30.5 lbs as of today. The loss has slowed to about 1.5 lbs per week...and I walk on the treadmill everyday...I was hoping for more like 4 lbs a week. I'm going for my first fill 9/11. maybe that will make a difference.

Hi,
I think that you are doing great. I had my surgery on 8/23 and I have lost 20 lbs. Be patient. It will come. I have stopped taking blood pressure meds and no swelling in my feet. Just for that weight I am so proud that it is gone. I thank God for that and for my surgeon. I use to have a stuffy nose and sneeze like crazy every morning. All that is gone. I can even breathe from my nose again. That 20 lb loss did all that. Just a little insight. Stay Blessed!

I'm 11 days post op and as of Thursday, I've come to a complete stall in weight loss. I've lost 19 pounds which is probably all my body can take right now, but I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem.

I am so happy that your surgery went great. Mine did to. I had my surgery on the 31st of last month. I am down 8 lbs as of the 6th . The only thing that bugs me is I have a pinching pain in my lower left side and man does it hurt. It can bring me to tears something . The surgeon said it was a stich pulling and would get better. I hope so. Well God bless

Hi Luchianna!
I'm here to say....ENJOY the liquid phase while it lasts. I felt WONDERFUL and did very well...until I started pureed foods and now soft foods. WHOLE different ballgame when you're on foods. I pray that you sail through it with no complications or issues with keeping food down or getting stuck. I'm 5 weeks out from surgery (Aug 2nd) and the crummy stage doesn't hit until about week 3 or so. That phase lasts from 3-10 weeks or so.
