Topic: Hubby makes cute WLS joke
I thought you'd all get a kick out of my Hubby's humor. We were doing our usual morning walk together and talking about something or other we were going to do in the future and he KIDDINGLY said.. "Well that's if you'll still want me around by then".
I came back with "What makes you think I'm going to want to DUMP you?"
He said.... "Well I'm so sweet that maybe I'll make you DUMP"

Topic: RE: HELP! Has anyone else come to a stall yet?
I think the doctors are right! I had a stall at two weeks out also. I still weigh everyday because I think of it as, "look! I haven't gained an ounce in this whole process!" On all the diets we've all tried...there were times when even if we followed the "diet" to the letter we gained weight. Even if that weight gain was only 1/4 lb, it was still discouraging to see any gain. In this process, the weight has only gone down, or stayed the same. I'll take a stall over a gain anyday! LOL! I'm very encouraged by what I see so far. The second week out was expected as our bodies just went through a MAJOR change. I think the second week is when our bodies say, "hey!! what the heck did you do to me? I'm all messed up!" The progress of losing after gastric bypass is generally much faster than that of the diet and exercise regime, so we just need to hang in there. What diet has anyone ever been on that we've lost 20-30 lbs in a month?
We all need to pat ourselves on the back, take that drink of water (maybe someday a small glass of champagne!) and toast to our courage and success in our journey!!
CHEEEEEEERRRRRRSSSSSSS!!! *clink*
God bless you all and let's allllllllll hang in there!!

Hi Luchianna! I've been out only a month and had a stall at 2 weeks out. When I first came home I was losing a pound a day. Then at 2 weeks out the scale stayed the same for 6 days. Seems I'm back on schedule now. I'm 4 weeks out and have lost 19 lbs. Not near a pound a day but I'll take it!!
I really don't mind a little slowness because I think that's healthier in the long run...however, I really need to stay away from the scale 'every day'. Once a week is good (as you said) and I think I'll try that (if I can hold myself back from getting on the damn thing!)
I guess that's my new addiction...the scale! sheeees!
