I am using http://www.thedailyplate.com/ (the free part) to track my intake. at very least I am keeping track of my protein intake... I am only getting about 500 to 800 cal /w50g protein. I also seem to be lucky in that I have lost 40# in 22 days. I did have one week that I stalled and seemed to gain a pound. Then I turned up my protein.
Topic: RE: ONE month Post op today
Hello,
I had surgery on August 14th. I have lost 48 lbs altogether; 20 before and 28 since. I am not doing well though, or doing it right. I get practically no protein in and hardly any liquids. Feeling not so hot. I am glad everyone else is doing so well, huge congrats!!!

My RNY was 8/27 and I am now down 18 lbs (according to my scale). I am following my guidelines to the letter. I am getting in all my liquids and and I think I am generally getting in all my protein and I'm walking about an hour a day. Today, I'm going to try to bump up my protein a bit by adding unflavored protein powder to some iced decaf coffee. Let's see if it helps.

Sorry, you're so frustrated. What's your total weight loss? I had my RNY on 8/31. and my loss has been 20 pounds. Seen the nutritionist yesterday and she said the weight loss would slow down and on average it would be about 2 pounds a week that I would lose. Are you getting at least 60 grams of protein and eating what's on the list of foods that are allowed. I'm on a soft diet. I try and get all protein and drink water throughout the day. Suggestion would be look at your food log and try something a little different. This surgery will work for you, do not get discouraged.

Okay, so after after complaining about my over two week weight loss stall, my scale did finally move. Unfortunately, everyone who said that all of a sudden my scale would just have this big jump were wrong. It was a whopping two pounds. Being only three and a half weeks out, I feel totally hopeless. What am I doing wrong? I am desperate for some signs that this surgery is working! Anyone else this frustrated?

Topic: RE: IS EVERYONE GETTING THEIR PROTEIN IN EVERY DAY?!!
I had my surgery Aug 1 2007 and I don't think I'm getting enough protein in. When I went in for my one month appt I asked one of the surgeons and he looked at what I had in my journal of what I had been eating and said I was doing fine but I'm only averaging about 45g of protein a day. Today so far I have had 84g but had 2 protein drinks today the first time I have every done that since surgery. But I really do think I'm not getting enough protein. Any suggestions
Topic: RE: help i am stalled
I had my surgery 8/8 and am down 26 pounds, first stall was 15 days out then lost another 10 and am at a stall again, I did finally take my measurements and have lost
approximately 24 inches, which I think is pretty good. A friend of mine that had surgery 7 years ago told me when the scale is not moving the inches are. so try measuring. I am sure your clothes are feeling looser, right? Keep you chin up this is going to work.
