Topic: RE: Beyond Frustrated!
You are losing inches! I did the same thing and then the weight started coming off. Everyone is different so what happens with one doesn't mean it will happen for everyone. Just drink plenty of water and make sure you get your protien in a day and work out and the weight will come off. Bu tI'm sure if you did your measurments before the surgery their is a big difference now.
Topic: RE: How long should you wait for alcohol?
Your not purpose to drink after this surgery. But my doctor said one year after surgery and then some people say 9 months. I have been told that when you drink a glass of wine it will make you drunk and beer is a bad idea. Cardinated
So I plan to wait a long while before I have a drink. not saying I don't want one but I will wait.

I posted here a few days ago as well and things are not getting any better. Still at 18 lbs and my 4 week anniversary date is approaching quickly. This is not what I expected after surgery. I've stopped crying about it...now I'm just angry all the time. It helps a little hearing that other people are in the same boat, but it doesn't change my frustration and disappointment. I keep praying for the "big jump" on the scale that people keep telling me will happen...SO FAR IT'S NOT! Hopefully things will improve for all of us "stallers" quickly. Good luck.

Topic: RE: ONE month Post op today
Hi All
I am new to this board - Usually on the Calif board. I am 4 weeks and 5 days out today. Lap RNY on 8/20. I am doing awesome. Still on the soft/mushy stage but have not had one problem what so ever. I am getting in all my protein , but sometimes the water is a struggle. I have lost 33 lbs since surgery and am truly loving life. I am so so so happy I had this surgery and I keep kicking myself that I didn't do it sooner.
I am looking forward to communicating with all of my August surgery sisters and brothers. Yeh for us.

Topic: RE: help
I have not lost at all for 2 weeks. My surgeon said to weight myself only once a month (i do it every morning) . He said that the average (after the initial quick loss) people loose is at this time is about 10 pounds a month.
The first month i lost twice (almost 3 times) that and i was expecting to keep loosing at that rate, However my surgeon said that is unrealistic and dangerous and that i would be on track if i lost anywhere from 7-10 pounds monthly from now on.
I hope this helps settle your fears .. i know hearing it from him calmed me down. I thought i had been doing something wrong.
