Topic: Time to See What Everyone's Eating Now?
Hi Everyone,
I am now 6 weeks out and slowly starting to eat some of the lower calorie, high protein Lean Cuisines (though I try not to get the ones with too many carbs) and since I hate protein shakes, I got some South Beach Protein Bars. I also still have cheese, some Ryvita crackers, turkey meatballs, fish, high fiber cereal, weight control oatmeal and chicken.
What is everyone eating?

I stalled out at about 3 weeks and it lasted 2 weeks. I actually gained 3 lbs and I was doing everything right. This week things finally picked back up. I lost 5 more lbs. I have a hard time getting all of my protein in and its something I know I should focus more on. You should keep trying to get at least some protein though. I hope you get out of your rut. Mine was so discouraging and disappointing but after reading the boards and watching how many people went through it I felt a little more hopeful. It will pick back up, just keep doing what you're doing.
Topic: RE: Anyone Starting to Notice?
My surgery was on 8/15/07 and I have lost 39 lbs. Some of my friends said they can really see it in my face. I can tell I have lost though. I am loving that I am fitting into some of my old clothes and some of my many t-shirts and way to big. I'm still really tired a lot and just got over a horrible case of bronchitis so I am waiting to see when my energy will pick back up. I was so excited about my new skinny face I went out and got a skinny face haircut lol.

Well here is my stall story... seems the last 2 weeks or so I have been up and down between 265 and 263 day by day. The only thing diffident is that I have really made an effort on taking in a 800 cal diet with 80g. protein (and that is hard number to hit) and I am drinking almost 3 quarts of water a day. I will admit that it is a chore to get that much food down. I am considering just eating what I feel I want more like 500 cal a day and not worry about protein till I stop loosing again.
I do see a difference in the way clothes are fitting.

Topic: RE: throwing out the scale!!!
I am not getting rid of it just yet... I have stalled too.. although I see a low of 263 then up to 265 up and down every other day... but I know that it is just a phase. I do see a difference in the way clothes are fitting.

Personally I feel like you do. I know how I felt before the surgery when I thought I had lost and stepped on the scale and went up a pound. Our digital scale broke and I have not replaced it. I don't want to have any disappointing moments so I have decided to weigh at the doctor's office. Maybe month 6 or 9 I'll get another scale when I go to maintain my weight I'll probably weigh once a week. I get very depressed and down when I don't lose. That's what I think is going to be best for me. It sounds like what you have done is the best choice for you at this point of your weight loss.
Good luck.
