So, is everyone getting in their vitamens?
I started out on the Flinstones. Felt like I was a kid. They also didn't taste as good as I recalled as a kid. But they were doable. Then I tried these berry ones from bariactric eating.
not good for me.
Then I tried the Optisource Orange chewables. I picked up a big container from Walgreens. I like these.
So, between my vitamens, my calcium & my baby B12s. I'm doing good so far.
How about you?

Stick with your surgeons guidelines. Measure or weigh everything you eat. Your puch is still healing. The cut nerves will not allow you to have true feelings of hunger and fullness yet. It is normal to not lose for a couple of weeks early on. A true stall lasts much longer. Your body is just figuring out you are trying to starve it. You will start losing again. Try measuring yourself when you are not dropping pounds, chances are you are losing inches.
Try to meat your fluid and protein goals each day (I find this part to be very hard).

Hi Allison,
Boy, I'm glad I"m not the only one!! According to my scale, I've lost two pounds which doesn't seem like enough, especially when you read about others losing 20 lbs. My DH had it done last Friday (9 days ago) and has lost about 15 lbs. UNFAIR! I'm walking every other day, from 2-3 miles, staying below 1000 cal. usually around 700-800 although some days I feel like I'm starving and end up eating about 900. Those are the days I walk, so I'm not sure how much good walking is really doing me. Anyhow, you're not alone in being frustrated. Hang in there, I figure as long as we stay below 1000 cal/day we just have to lose weight eventually. Wish I could stay below 600, but can't figure out what to eat to be able to eat that little and not feel like I'm starving to death.

Congratulation, on one mounth, and your weight lost...
My sugery was on the 20th, and I've had days where I felt I eat to much, like cottage chesse, and other soft food. The more solid foods take more work and I do fill up with less.. Now am at the stag were I dont want to eat and have to force my self. They say its all about our pouches healing. I also had a week or so with no weight lost, I'm losing now, but not as fast as I woul like. But I'm happy..
So good luck to you, and chew, chew, drink plenty on water, and dont forget your protein......

Hi I have had RNY on 8-22-07 and have lost 40 lbs. But I am needing to lose alot about 150 so I am losing faster than those not having to lose as much.

I eat eggs, chicken, fish, nuts, meatballs, hamburger with cheese (no bread)
I tried to eat 800-1000 cal with 80grams of protein I did that for about 2 weeks but it seemed like I was eating all the time and I gained weight. Now I am back down to 550-600 cal with 50 grams of protein. I am going to slowly try to increase but not in a hurry till I plateau again.
Best think I have found is Beach Diet Chocolate Peanut butter meal replacement bar. 210 cal 19g protein I eat at least one or 2 a day and they taste something like a rice crispy treat (really

It had been one month for me now and the last week or so have been the hardest. I seem to be easyer to over eat and every one knowes what that means..
As far as weight loss I think I am doing very well even though I had almost 2 weeks with no loss and I was stuck at 265 I am not at 261 and dropping.
